Happy Thanksgiving!

Why I am blogging right now when I have so much to do is beyond me! My dad, step-mom, & step-sister are on their way to our house from Ohio to spend the holiday with us. Sean and I are so excited to have them here and cant wait for their arrival! I am even more [excited..nervous..scared] because I am cooking my very first Thanksgiving dinner!! Agh!! I hate to toot my own horn (toot..toot) but I am a pretty decent cook, but just thinking that I am cooking all this food for the first time scares the heck out of me! I have helped my mom over the years and pretty much know how things are supposed to be done, so I am crossing my fingers that I dont blow up the turkey or burn the stuffing!

Now for some depressing stuff...

This past month has been trying for my family and a dear family friend. One of my aunts was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago, and just recently went through a double mastectomy. She is going through chemo now and seems to be doing good. A family friend had been having some problems lately and went to the doctor last week and found out she has brain cancer. It is operable but if the cancer is anywhere else in her body, they say it will be hard to fight. If you thought all that was bad, I have one more for ya! Another aunt was just diagnosed this week with pancreatic cancer. Her doctors in Detroit dont think there is anything they can do for her, so she is going to the Mayo Clinic to see if they can help. Please keep these 3 people who mean so much to me in your thoughts and prayers.

Knowing that some people/families are going through so much this time of year makes me realize how thankful I am for my health, a husband who loves me dearly, and a family who I love more than anything!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Back to cooking/cleaning!!!

Love Always,

Lindsay
