*Let the bidding Begin*

As much as I have tried to not think about it, this is Sean's free agent year in baseball. I still haven't come to terms with the fact that we will, more then likely, be with a new organization next season. That means new spring training location, new ballparks, new cities, and the WORST of all new girls. I don't think any other organizations wives/girlfriends will make me feel as welcome as the Reds girls did when Sean was traded in 07. All the feelings I had when we got that trade news are hitting me full force again. Where will we be? Will we cross paths with our friends again? I am also a planner when it comes to Spring Training....particularly this one, because it will be my first one traveling with Sean. I want to know all the ins and outs of where we will be.

The World Series has ended, which means teams can start contacting Sean soon. This is what we were told by his agent.....

"The date you become a minor league free agent is now at 12:00 a.m. of the fifth (5th) day after the day the last game of the World Series starts. From 5:00 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. of the preceding day, your prior Club has sole negotiating rights. Its a seven hour window for prior clubs to sign their free agents."

Sooooo that means that Saturday is the day....Reds have first option obviously, but we aren't optimistic on that front. You never know though....Keep your fingers crossed for us that Sean signs with a team that utilizes his talents and "fits" him, and for me that it is close enough to home for me to be able to visit him like I am used to!

Love,

Mrs. Henry
